Can you provide more info? Is this happening when you are standing still and just moving your hands? Is it happening only when you move via smooth locomotion? Is it only happening when you are holding an item? If you go into the option and lower the render scale, does it stop?

It sounds like a performance issue. If you don't mind, can you provide your system specs including processor, graphics card, and details about VR setup (headset, tethered or streaming). Also make sure no heavy tasks are running in the background.

Your system should handle it without issue. I'm curious if there is an error happening repeatedly. Can you find your play session log file at %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\scopatgames\vrkshop\Player.log and either post here or send to vrkshop.support@vrkshop.com if you prefer.

I'm sorry you are having issues, but I hope we can figure out what may be happening.

This one ???

That's the one. The logs look okay (assuming this log was from a play session where you noticed the problem).

Is the entire scene jittering, or just the "pointer" models representing your hands? Does it perform differently between the indoor scene and the desert/cliffs outdoor scene?
Leonidas 3 Feb, 2023 @ 4:23pm
so no its not the scene but i found that XR overlay wasnt enabled and that helped another game run better so i think it may have been fixed

Have you tried this fix:

Go into your Steam VR settings. Disable the add on under startup/shutdown called 00vrinputemulator. This fixed most of the stuttering

Using the beta branch for old oculus headsets for Steam VR made the experience even smoother

Ever since I disabled this I can finally play Steam VR games again. I really hope this helps anyone with the same issue I had.
