A magnificent Idea, Off to a VERY promising start.
This is a pretty special idea to bring to the world of VR, and is being enjoyed by myself very much so far. Since its purchase a couple of days ago, I have done 2 quite extensive streams on Facebook live just feeling out the mechanics of the game and showcasing it to some of my friends who I knew would be interested. And they were!

So far for me, aside from some of the obvious '♥♥♥♥♥♥♥' that come with a starting a concept like this, It's remarkably usable and extremely fun and creative.

My plus points and ideas for the game so far...

* From the store front, The game has an Excellent visual appeal, Great Logo and good colours. Graphically very good in game, Simple neat and very attractive.

*The models for all assets and tools so far are excellent.

*The look of the wood is good so far, and the face of any cross cut looks very cool complete with wood rings and such.

*The projects are excellently created and ordered perfectly regarding challenge.

*The main menu 'hit the nail' to select is genius. The moment the hammer connected for the first time, and I had to follow it up with a second tap to drive it all the way home, almost told me everything I needed to know about the potential and style of the game.

*The classic look to some models and assets are very cool. The chalk board, Calculator and even the work bench have a nostalgia to them. Also the custom tool 'hook' wall is a great touch, Giving a user the ability to really tweek it and get 'particular' about tool placement is a great option to have.

So far, I'm very much hooked, and cant wait to see where this goes, The following are some ideas that either jumped straight out at me whilst playing or are just things I'd love to see. I know that some of these will already be on the Dev's list and is probably working through them (hopefully) as we build.

Tools:
A mitre box (saw angle jig), Set square, Bench Vice, small hand clamps and bigger rail clamps.

features:
Ability or mode to re-arrange the room and all assets within it (then lock it all off for play) but keeping the bin as a movable asset would be great. Also the ability to resize and re-position the tool wall and other wall features would be great. This is mainly because I'd selfishly like to put the work bench flush to a wall and have a tool wall in front of me or just generally be able to play with a custom room layout. The ability to build my own units, shelves etc is very attractive to me. In my first project building the organiser, I decided on the second session to make a drawer, upon completion I discovered the drawer was difficult to use practically with both items wanting to move. the ability to build a furniture item that can be locked in the environment but then have fully functioning 'unlocked' hinges or drawers is also very attractive.

Eventually the ability to build my own workbench that I can nail my own jigs and/or saw guides and so on into the top of it (then when complete the asset could be locked into a position for play ) It would be super nice to have a nice dark hardwood bench top eventually that scuffed and marked with use. the ability to nail into it and hold items, then remove etc.

A simple retro styled workshop radio (like the calculator) able to stream a selected feed or point it to a music folder. This is only because I'd like it to be a proper 'little radio' sound that is dynamically heard depending on where you are in the room, complete with a basic volume knob.

A small selection of hinges.

The ability to sand, round off etc *later down the line ;)

The few things I really wouldn't want to see are...

*Overly modernised equipment and tools (or at least not just yet, maybe themed Vrkshop's later)

*Graphical overlays popping up on tools (saw) showing angles etc, make us use the tools!

*Clinical whiteboard

let the building continue.
:)
