Window reflections broken on Linux, forcing DX12 does not work
I have the same issue as this poster [https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/1359980/discussions/1/3389546207212143973/]. I have tried putting "-force-d3d12", running the game on both Proton Experimental and Hotfix, and have tried those solutions in conjunction with each other. None of them work. Is there something I'm missing?

OS: Garuda Linux (Arch based), kernel version 6.7.2-zen1-1-zen
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5600X
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT
RAM: 32GB

Hello! Sorry to hear that, are you running the newest version of Proton?

Yes. I've tried both Proton 8.0-5 (the newest available in my Steam client) and GEProton8-30 (using ProtonUp-QT).

Sadly nothing comes to my head, other that suggest that you could check if all your drivers are up to date. Maybe checking files integrity would help?

Unfortunately that didn't do the trick. Thanks for your help anyway, though.

Can confirm the same issue on STEAM Deck and Fedora Install. It's odd but it doesn't break the game gameplay wise.

Running Fedora 39 (KDE)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT

I tried to make the game work on Arch, and did have a problem with reflections (is this a shader problem?)
without -force-d3d12 game would outright crash upon loading a level with reflective surfaces
with this option game was playable, reflection shader was still a mess (super bright green rave party, The Cat Gun is a seizure hazard) BUT FMVs (in-game videos) worked

I had quite a bit of trouble with Arch altogether, many graphical bugs I didn't know how to troubleshoot, so I jumped to Mint

Proton Experimental, no option - reflection bugged (but way more stable), FMV borked
Proton Experimental, `--force-d3d12` - crash upon launch
Proton 9 beta, no option - refl borked, FMV borked
Proton 9 (and older), `--force-d3d12` - reflections FIXED!, FMV still borked

So yeah, I only know that Arch has some problem with graphics, because I also ran into trouble playing Zortch, which no one else had trouble with, while I had problems with transparent textures
Feel free to educate me anytime

Linux Mint runs great on the other hand
I'll be looking how to fix FMV
