Running Fedora 39 (KDE)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT
without -force-d3d12 game would outright crash upon loading a level with reflective surfaces
with this option game was playable, reflection shader was still a mess (super bright green rave party, The Cat Gun is a seizure hazard) BUT FMVs (in-game videos) worked
I had quite a bit of trouble with Arch altogether, many graphical bugs I didn't know how to troubleshoot, so I jumped to Mint
Proton Experimental, no option - reflection bugged (but way more stable), FMV borked
Proton Experimental, `--force-d3d12` - crash upon launch
Proton 9 beta, no option - refl borked, FMV borked
Proton 9 (and older), `--force-d3d12` - reflections FIXED!, FMV still borked
So yeah, I only know that Arch has some problem with graphics, because I also ran into trouble playing Zortch, which no one else had trouble with, while I had problems with transparent textures
Feel free to educate me anytime
Linux Mint runs great on the other hand
I'll be looking how to fix FMV
