Duskstar crashes my game

Hello, I have played through all of the campaign up to this point and this is the only issue I have encountered. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the issue persists. I am able to play other levels, including the one prior to duskstar. When I enter the level, I get the image and text box and once I press a key the screen will go black and the music will play for a couple of seconds, then freeze and then the game will crash. The 1st time I encountered this I was unable to exit the game and had to restart my PC, but I'm also impatient and didn't wait long. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated!

My computer specs:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.60 GHz
Ram: 16.0 GB
OS: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2

I'm not a tech guy so lmk if you need any more info

hello again. i played a different game for an hour and came back to this game and the level launched up after a short black screen, multiple times. my issue is fixed but I'm unsure of what caused the fix

Duskstar crashing my game too. Just exits the game.
RTX 3070, 9700k, 32gb ram, Win 10 pro latest build,

EDIT: I fixed it by finding the exe in the Steam/game folder, running as administrator. No more crash on that level.
