Please give this game a proper opening cinematic.
I don't mean the intro cutscene for the first level, rather, the fact y'all are still using a release date trailer that still acts like the game isn't out yet at the end.

Preferably done in game engine for scalability and future proofness. Prerenders must die!

I like the idea though I also love the animated stuff the studio they outsourced to did tbh. If they weren't able to reach them however, something in-engine would certainly be neat. Maybe like the camera approaching the trailer, some sight gags, and then it gets inside and boom, menu? Iirc some of the real early trailers (as in, Dude was still wearing his trenchcoat and fingerless gloves early), there was a shot or two of his trailer in engine but I could totally be misremembering.

This could be done in-engine by using old fashion demo recording and playing it in-engine and mixing it with non engine related stuff by rendering it as overlay with alpha channels (in case you need to mix some footage with in-engine).

Huh, didn't even consider that possibility ngl. Neat. :AngelDude: I'm only in the midst of looking into college to learn how to make games myself so I honestly know ♥♥♥♥ for tits about the actual assembly of these things. :postaldude:
