Who is Beth?
In my playthrough, I've formed a conclusion what she's a college girl babysitter that had a "special" relationship with Dr. Carmichael. Hence, why he was a guilty wreck when Beth was mention, which led to a sudden confession to shannon at the second chapter. By when I googled it, Beth is apparently Shane and Carmichael's first born? tf??? My guess is not even close. You guys...am I too far out on this one?

I actually thought a similar thing. The conversation you overhear between Addy and Beth in chapter one really doesn't make it sound like Beth is a family member, she says something about spending time 'with your family' to Addy. I thought there was some sort of affair going on as well, everything seemed to point to that...

Editing to add, I'm just playing through again and Dr Carmichael says to Beth on the phone "we're over", now that's not something you'd say to your daughter, is it? Now I'm just confused.
