Same I don't think the maps relate to real life

Roads that are 2 way in real life are 1 way in the game

As mentioned here, maps are taken from OpenStreetMap (OSM) a platform where people maintain the maps. If there are issues in your area, then there might be no one or not many people working on that part. But you can join.

For two months now, I've been checking every day if there's an update for the maps. A major section of the road in my city has been renovated, it's already on OpenStreetMap, but it's still not in the game

hmm I wouldn't be so sure. The map in my game isn't the same as in OSM. I have two-way streets in the game, but in OSM it's only one.

Anyway, it seems like the game was abandoned by the devs...

No the game is not abandoned, they are releasing the game on Console 15th May and all dev resources are likely on that once the Console release comes out and all of the bugs are fixed in that then we will start seeing updates again. Give it 3 or 4 months.,

Would be good if they could do a OSM update though? surley that isn't to hard to do or allow us to manually update it ourselfs

believe they said at one of the developer discord sessions that it was something they were looking at automating so they did not need to manually do it.
