Hello!
Happy to help
The standard steps to take in such a situation that help us correctly identify and fix what is happening on your machine are outlined in the FAQ:
Animaze FAQ: https://www.animaze.us/faq/tech/gatherlogs
Optional: Aside from the mentioned log files, send in via email any additional context about what might have happened before the issue occurred, and/or your custom model itself if the issue started happening after importing an untested custom model, that didn't go through the Animaze Editor first.
If you want the problem to just go away, you can do a factory reset of the app settings. Remember that a naive uninstall/reinstall in the same folder does not achieve that, as even after an uninstall you will still have any potentially problematic custom settings files, and custom art files that you loaded left over, (and they do need to be deleted).
Such a "Factory reset" goes around the issue, and while it does not help us at all to find the cause and fix it, it can get you unstuck in an emergency.
Here is a quick guide on how to reset the settings to defaults (without a full uninstall//reinstall),
- Make sure Animaze is closed.
- Go to <animazeInstallDir>\Data\ and delete or rename the files called AppPreferences.json and Preferences.json.
This resets most configurations to default (key binds, quick scenes, camera options, etc.) maybe one of those creates an issue. You will lose your custom settings when doing so.
- Open Animaze.
If you do want to uninstall/reinstall, remember that after uninstalling, and before reinstalling, you need to clean up the install folder of any potentially problematic custom files by going in there and deleting them manually.
If they were the cause of the problem, if you're not deleting them, the problem will stick around even after reinstalling.
Cheers!
