[Avatar Creation]: How to Install the Animaze Editor
If you want to create custom avatar models from scratch (and not just quick-load them from an external Avatar Creator Engine), the Animaze Editor can be part of the fine-tuning and import process as you get that content ready for use in Animaze.

An overview of the various creation pipelines is here:

A page on suggested artists or services is here:

Instructions on how to install the Animaze Editor are here:

Documentation on custom avatars can be found here:

Note on historical versions:
For authoring user-made .avatar files compatible with the live service version of Animaze or Animaze 23 perpetual versions, you should continue using the regular Animaze Editor, as it will be updated in lockstep with the Animaze app.

For authoring user-made .avatar files compatible with the perpetual license versions launched on Sept 1st 2022, (Animaze Plus 22, and Animaze Pro 22), you need to use the specific Animaze 22 Editor. This specialized Animaze 22 editor is included in the Animaze 22 files in the Tools subfolder and also can be found and installed separately, in the Tools section of Steam.

This distinction is also important to keep in mind when uploading user-authored .avatar files on the Workshop, after September 1st 2022.
Please take note of the workshop tag system, which should flag the .avatars you upload meant for the 2022 version.
