If you want to use the standard keyboard controls as a means of control, while alt-tabbed, with Global Keys to on, then yes, you will have to rebind all the problematic keys.
Alternatively, if you know a bit of scripting/coding, you can leave Global Keys on Off, and activate Chatpal via an API call (websocket command).
There are Python samples on how to use the API on the website, in the docs section.
You could make a simple applet that looks only for one trigger method and activates Animaze Chatpal via the Animaze API. This way you can leave Global Keys off in Animaze.
