Hello!
Happy to clarify.
That message is displayed when Animaze cannot connect to the Animaze virtual webcam driver.
Possible causes are:
- Animaze Virtual Webcam Driver installation was blocked (and you need to install it manually).
- Animaze Virtual Webcam Driver was uninstalled and is no longer present on your system (and you need to install it manually).
- Animaze Virtual Webcam Driver or Animaze itself was sandboxed by the user or by other security software (needs to be cleared for use)
- Animaze's access to that webcam driver is blocked by Windows privacy settings (sometimes software that gets updates, needs to be whitelisted again to access a webcam or a microphone on your system).
If you know your way around installing drivers, the manual installer can be found in: [AnimazeInstallFolder]\Bin\prerequisites\AnimazeVirtualCamera\
Run install.bat as administrator.
There are many other ways to get the video feed out of Animaze (dedicated window capture, Spout2), the virtual webcam path is just the easiest one to connect to video chat apps, probably the most compatible, but is definitely not mandatory, not the only way and not the most performance-effective way to get the video out.
Cheers, and happy streaming!
