"No avatars in the in-app Avatar Gallery" - Internet connectivity troubleshooting.
If upon starting Animaze you notice that your authentication does not work quite right,
symptoms being that
a. you don't see a lot of avatars in the Avatar gallery, or
b. if you chose to make a bespoke Animaze account (an optional step, not a hard requirement for Steam users), and logging in via your bespoke Animaze account does not work in-app (but works on the animaze.us website),

...then it means that the Animaze app is likely being blocked from going online. Here are the usual troubleshooting steps.

1. Make sure the Firewall or Antivirus doesn't block Animaze access to the internet in any way, try whitelisting Animaze (or if you are an experienced Windows user and are comfortable doing so, even temporarily disabling them) before trying to start Animaze and logging in.

2. reboot the system and try starting Animaze again (or logging in again if you had made a bespoke account) , does it work now?

3. Sometimes what's needed is resetting everything to default, a sort of factory reset.
Make sure Animaze is stopped. Go to <AnimazeInstallDir>/Data/ and delete Preferences.json, AppPreferences.json, and cacert.pem files. Start Animaze and try logging in, does it work now?

4. Check your Windows Time and Date settings and make sure to have those set to Automatic.

5. If you have a VPN on when using Animaze, try to turn it OFF and then log in.

6. send us the Animaze.log right after the issue happens, here's how: https://www.animaze.us/faq/tech/gatherlogs

Cheers and happy streaming.
