How to deal with gun recoil?
I have finally obtained my first large railgun. However, I have noticed that when my mech shoots, the projectile does not hit the target on very long distances, contrary to regular railguns. Usually railguns are very precise, thus I invest very few points in precision. Thus, I would think the problem is recoil. How do I deal with that? Investing more weapon points in precision is the only option, or increasing the mech weight/stabilty/impact resistance would be helpful?

Weapon percision is only influenced by the 30% accuracy skill and the weapon's points in percision.

When you say gun recoil, I think of how the mechs get pushed around when firing sometimes. The only thing that affects gun recoil this is the impact resistance which is innate to a mech chassis.

Yes, by recoil I mean the puchback suffered from the mech when firing. I was wondering if the weapon precision compensated that.

You can also increase it with the armor plate mod, if I am not mistaken. Still, it is more efficient to go for mech with better base impact resistance.

That is news to me. I have only played around with a few of the mech OS tweaks.

Armour plate AUX adds a bit of impact resistance and +1 passive armour, which is pretty good for those with low impact resistance like basic mining mech
