Annoying issues with winch not working

130+ hours. Love the game. But considering how old the game is, and how many DLCs have been released, why is the damn winch so buggy? Sometimes it glitches and I can't use the mouse to attach it to anything. Then I have to back out of the vehicle menu, and come back in to see if it works. Worst case I have to switch to another vehicle and back. It's annoying.

i get something like this i think , winch won't lift , have to reset crane or change truck

I use to get this issue occasionally. It seemed to be linked to me alt-tabbing between the game and other apps.

However, more recently I have occasionally encountered a bug where, while playing multiplayer, I sometimes can not see any winch points on another players vehicle while they are in the vehicle. The moment they leave the vehicle the winch points show up. And as far as I know they didn't have a winch engaged already, which would account for that issue if that were the case.
