Getting stuck common?
I'm used to games these days trying really hard to avoid situations where players get stuck. I honestly don't remember the last time I've been stuck without a way forward in a game but within 5 or 6 minutes into the demo I dropped down into an area where I got the big shotgun (double barrel?) and killed the enemies in the room after which I quick saved. Turns out I think I needed to activate some switches prior to entering that room or something because the 2 doors to it were locked and I couldn't locate a way to get back up to the floor I dropped from. There was a button to activate but it didn't seem to do anything in my immediate area. I also couldn't find a way to see what the controls were and couldn't locate a crouch key or else I would have tried going through the small opening in the barred windows. In any case, was I being dense? Did I miss the solution or was I actually stuck?

I liked what I saw in the demo so far other than this. The gameplay is smooth and the gunplay thrilling. I just don't think I would enjoy level design that allows for progression being blocked like this often. I suppose I could be more careful with my quicksaves but it's a real "feelsbad" moment whenever I realize I have to reload a level completely.
