What are we supposed to do? I guess we are to figure out the game mechanics on our own with that being part of the fun. Is that it? If so I'd just like to know.

I could not figure anything out either. The style and vibe of the game is cool, but I have zero direction.

Find a way to reach the tall glass things, press E, then find a way to reach the gate.
