Hi, sorry for the late reply - there's almost no meowing during gameplay (puzzle solving).

After every completed chapter (9 puzzles) there is a story illustration, and during roughly 50% of those there are meow-like sounds played for less than 10 seconds. AFAIK none of those are sounds of actual cats (instead they are mimicked by a human), but I don't know how discerning your dogs are :)
