I hope this bug gets fixed quickly, as it is the only thing that is currently keeping me from playing the game right now.
If you want the sound to reset/clear, go into your brew cellar storage and exit again, then the pump sounds seem to disappear.
My question is why hasn't this been fixed yet? I understand not continuing to develop the game, but this is a basic continuous bug to a basic tool in the game.
If(pomp==turnoff) then sound=off;
I don't know, maybe there's a way to remove the pump sound from the game files? Or replace the file with an empty one. When I have some time, I'll see if it can be solved this way.
It is truly disappointing to see that such a fundamental issue like the sound bug has remained unresolved for such a long time. We, the players, invest our time and money into your game, and in return, we expect these kinds of problems to be addressed swiftly and transparently.
The fact that this bug persists after all this time raises serious concerns about your priorities or your level of commitment to quality. It’s hard to believe that after such an extended period, the root cause hasn’t been identified and resolved. Where is the transparency? Why aren’t there regular updates on the progress?
We gamers are the foundation of your success. Without us, there would be no community, no revenue, and ultimately, no growth. It is only fair that you take this responsibility seriously and treat critical issues like this with the highest priority.
We urge you to take action and finally deliver a fix for this bug. Show us that you respect the players who keep your game alive. Otherwise, you risk losing the patience and trust of your community for good.
Disappointed but still hopeful,
A frustrated player
Hey! Thanks for your post.
Just to reiterate what I said in the other post you had made:
Here is an update we shared back in November 2023:
"We want to be as open as possible about the complexity around the bug fixing process. We really value our community and player base, and we want to be honest and transparent about the process.
"Since the release of Brewmaster (Fall 2022), we have been keeping an eye on bug reports coming in and putting resources from our studio into addressing them.
"However, there comes a point in every game’s lifespan where it is no longer financially possible to continue putting development resource into reviewing, investigating, and working on bugs that come up. Sadly, we have hit this point for Brewmaster. However, our customer service teams here and at our publisher Fireshine Games are still open to help look for workarounds or common fixes for currently known bugs in the game. We will make sure to update our FAQ resources with these common fixes (if possible), as well as monitoring and assisting with the community forums to offer advice and tips. But I can confirm that we won’t be patching, updating or fixing the game regularly moving forward.
"We do appreciate this may not be the response you were hoping for, and we wish we could do more as Brewmaster is a game that’s close to our hearts with the many years we have spent working on it to make it as fun as possible, but we have to move on to other projects that you will hopefully be able to enjoy as well in the future."
There is one fundamental bug in the game that occurs in 100% of situations. And these are not exceptional situations. Just the most ordinary use of basic functionality.
And you go on for a few paragraphs about how you won't fix it because "it is no longer financially possible."
