Game abandoned?

So I've seen some reviews say the game is abandoned and doesn't offer much after a certain point.

So my question, has the game been abandoned with no future updates?

I see a patch for 15 Dec, 2022 and no others listed that I can find.

It's sad but true, the game is abandoned,
some mayor mechanics are broken, never patched, so its not recommended to buy if you want a full game

I would say only buy at a MASSIVE discount at this point. Even then it feels a bit iffy, as it's supporting extremely questionable developer practices. The update mentioned above (15th Dec 2022) was right after the game came out and right before the console release. Devs active in discussions here thanking for bug reports and promising updates for a year or so and then said they would no longer be releasing updates even though they hadn't actually released one at all. Additionally, there's no modding support.
