Game abandoned by dev team.
2 years they trying to add (no) kitchen scales...
Here is an update we shared back in November 2023:
"We want to be as open as possible about the complexity around the bug fixing process. We really value our community and player base, and we want to be honest and transparent about the process.
"Since the release of Brewmaster (Fall 2022), we have been keeping an eye on bug reports coming in and putting resources from our studio into addressing them.
"However, there comes a point in every game’s lifespan where it is no longer financially possible to continue putting development resource into reviewing, investigating, and working on bugs that come up. Sadly, we have hit this point for Brewmaster. However, our customer service teams here and at our publisher Fireshine Games are still open to help look for workarounds or common fixes for currently known bugs in the game. We will make sure to update our FAQ resources with these common fixes (if possible), as well as monitoring and assisting with the community forums to offer advice and tips. But I can confirm that we won’t be patching, updating or fixing the game regularly moving forward.
"We do appreciate this may not be the response you were hoping for, and we wish we could do more as Brewmaster is a game that’s close to our hearts with the many years we have spent working on it to make it as fun as possible, but we have to move on to other projects that you will hopefully be able to enjoy as well in the future."
They basically said we dont have the resources to fix our broken game but have the resources to move on to a brand new game.
This screams of incompetent developers and as such should not be allowed to charge money for their laziness and inability.
Same here. It just makes no sense why bugs that were discovered day one were not fixed before they stopped updating the game. Updates are how people end up buying the game as people enjoy continued support. It is how you develop a loyal playerbase who will buy your other products. The new mars game looked interesting but I am not touching these devs with a 10 foot pole in the future.
"We don't have the funds to fix bugs or continue to update this game" but in the same breath "We are focusing on putting all our funds into new games". So they totally contradicted themselves. They do INDEED have the funds, but chose not to put into a game that people have already purchased and spent time on.
Yikes.
Yet you're still patrolling the discussion boards and begging for undeserved recognition while shilling the knowingly broken game on anyone who doesn't know every Steam sale. Put your money where you're mouth is and delist the game if you're done profiting from it.
This isn't Fortnite or any other live service game.
All regular games eventually reach a point they're finished and not worked on anymore.
Heck, Titanic is still for sale on Steam, and hasn't been updated since 1996, before most of you were alive (apart from a patch used to make it run on 32-bit OS. And that was fans that did that).

Brewmaster hit it's end of life a little quicker than expected, but it's all legal and justified.
It's not that they gave up, it's that they gave up while it's still riddled with bugs. It's cool that you're fine with that kind of garbage though, thanks for sharing.
