Contamination doesn't rise when you pour it into the fermenter directly, you only need the tube to fill a carboy but they're bugged and fatal to pretty much any yeast right now so ignore them.
You can attach a pump to the output end of a chiller to accelerate its speed, but as long as you stop the chill around 40-43c and put the lid on after the contamination growth is minimal (usually less than 2%)
Also worth noting the coolers are bugged as well, as are tubes, and fluid flow.
The lack of focus on sterilization (or sanitization, whatever) weirded me out at first, but that is SUCH a mundane, boring part of a process in a game that is already walking a VERY thin line of mundanity. I feel like leaving this out is doing so for the sake of pacing and fun. PERSONALLY I wouldn't mind there potentially being a "Hardcore" game mode that allowed this aspect, but forcing it on everyone would 100% alienate people already on the edge of tolerating the pace.
I have never once gotten the impression that the game wants you to tube-transfer everything.
The quest part sounds like a bug, I think mine cleared but I'd have to check. That said I have a lot of interest in how the dev got to their heat transfer information in this game. I'm not a scientist, I won't claim to know, but both the flow rate of that god forsaken faucet, and the heat exchange rates in this game *Feel* wrong.
This also seems like a bug. I have put 21 even litres into conditioning containers and managed to open the damn thing and it would spill because it had 21.1 when I came back.
I'll back you up that I would like it to be accurate for the tone the game is going for...but honestly does that matter? No one plays "Farming Simulator" for its gritty realism, same with Power Wash simulator, gas station simulator...or...any of the wealth of simulators. At some point you have to stop worrying about an absolute adherence to realism, otherwise cross the line from a relaxing simulator game, to a boring corporate simulator that they hand out to train people with all game-ification removed and feels like a chore.
There's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disclaimer at the beginning, and this is 100% still a simulator. Just like all the rest (farming, construction, truck driving, whatever) it's not meant to appeal to the people who already do it, and be 100% correct to life, and to call this a beta game considering the polish is kind of a jerk move. Calm the heck down.
