As someone who have worked in an actual brewery.
After watching the video tutorial on the store : I'm triggered.

Malt extract and steepable grain, really ? I know it's a thing but, Jesus, if you're serious about home brewing just use a Brewmonk to do a real, actual mash. Not that malt soup.
And even with steeping grain, you still need to do a "mini mash" and a rest period at the required temperature, not just boil everything and call it a day.

There is a reason why you boil the wort for some time, it's not just to sanitize it, it's also to evaporate as much as possible of the DMS (Dimethyl sulfide), an off taste that smells like corn (or canned corn) which will easily ruin any light beer.
You can also get DMS from various bacterial infection but if that happens, your beer already tastes like bubbly sewage anyway.

Leaving the wort in the open for a whooping 24 hours for cooling is just looking for troubles. Any bacteria around (and there is A LOT) will be attracted and then all bets are off. It won't give you food poisoning or anything (if fermented) but it'll taste like crap everytime.

You want your wort to cool ASAP so you can add the yeast. The yeast will reproduce incredibly fast in that perfect environment, outcompeting quickly any potential bacterial contaminent.

Corn sugar... Like... Nevermind.

And my favourite part : leaving the beer to ferment in a semi clear plastic container, not only in the light but in the sunlight ! Welcome to lightstruck, population : you and whoever is unfortunate enough to drink this.
Hops don't like light and the result will taste "skunky". I leave that to your imagination.

I could rant some more but it's almost 6am.

And to be perfectly clear, I'm not LARPing that brewing is for people with a PHD bio-chemistry and not for some peasant in his kitchen.
No.
But, like cooking, you gotta have proper hygiene, the right temperature at the right step for the right amount of time, etc.
Nah, not cooking, more like making dessert. When you do, say, a Paris-Brest you gotta be precise on the ingredients and preparation otherwise it's garbage and it goes straight into the trash can.

Anyway. To the devs : I appreciate the effort. I would have love to give it a try (I don't work in a brewery anymore and I kinda miss it). But when I see that even the basic steps of brewing aren't respected, I just can't accept that.
Best of luck all the same.

Check screenshot 5, it shows there's plenty more equipment in the game than demonstrated in the video of the first brew, think that will help with most of your initial concerns
