"Thief meets Dishonored vibes"
Absolutely love the Thief games, so that description from Rock Paper Shotgun article

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/new-stealth-rpg-abermore-has-big-thief-meets-dishonored-vibes

has be chomping at the bits for this game. Looking forward to it.

I only wish the RPS article had been based on actually playing a build of the game.. I'm excited based on everything I've read, but at the same time, the store page promises a whole lot. I'm hoping they can pull it off.

As far as the trailer goes, it certainly hits the Thief vibe in terms of the number of polygons used, but this looks far too bright for a game about sneaking in the shadows..
too bright indeed...

yeah I agree looks too bright. Other than that yes, it gives me thief/dishonoured vibes, apparently sans the combat. And I quite enjoyed the Dishonoured combat because it was violent, and some of those ba$tards and b!tches deserved to die. Of course stealth games shouldn't require combat but again, sometimes rough justice is best served whilst freaking out.

here's another stealth game I've found recently you guys might be interested in. (If it's bad form to link it to another dev's page then they can sort that out and no offence was intended).

Anyhoo it's a tongue in cheek (not usually my jam) portal'esque'[?] kind of stealth em up and besides the lame cat thing i think it definitely has some promise: https://steamhost.cn/app/301280/Skin_Deep/

Instantly excited when seeing it's an indie game inspired by Thief.
And then just as quickly losing all excitement when I see it's got a roguelike loop (as if Deathloop and PreyDLC weren't enough), and seemingly overpowered guards.

Guess I'll stick to Dishonored then.

Sorry but two is hardly enough. Just because you don't like roguelike elements in your immersive sims doesn't mean they should stop making them.

^ yeah, roguelite + imsim is a pretty dope combo. So much room for innovation and creativity.
