How do you open the bottle in the first puzzle ?

I may be stupid but i've been running around an abandoned house for half an hour and i've looked at everything there is to look at but i still can't figure out how to open the bottle with the weird scroll in it ?

you have to un scramble the letters in the bathroom to get the password
