Does this game take concepts of the original OneShot further?
So I played both the original OneShot (the RPGMaker version) and the steam version.

The steam version was laughably soft and threw original concepts out the window compared to the original version.

In the original, the game had a darker tone. Niko could actually think and figure out things like a real person instead of saying "Wow, [insert player name here], that was a great idea you came up with!".

The psychological horror concept of Niko dying if you quit the game without saving existed instead of him/her inconsequentially waking up and saying "Wow what a weird experience! Everything went dark!"

Niko didn't pester the player every 5 minutes or introduce the player to several NPCs as if they could see the player.

The soundtrack in some areas had a much more darker and unsettling tone to them.

On top of this the steam version isn't really a psychological horror game and doesn't do that much to mess with the player's head or keep them on edge. It does "outside the box" stuff but none of that technically qualifies as psychological horror because it's used just for solving puzzles.

I was just curious if this mod is going to take a step further towards the darker direction the original game had.

Yep! It'll be doing a lot of that.
We haven't gotten into the horror just yet but we're edging into it.
