How do you exit the timer mode
Just started playing and activated it and have been trying to get out to play the new content

Only real way to exit is to either finish it or keep exiting the game until you kill Niko.

oh god the timer is gone but the new stuff is not there

you need to beat the original game at least once (unless you migrate your original OneShot save)

You need a post-solstice state to start with modded content.
