Strange glitch with the pixels?

So I was trying the game out and the pixel art was using the non-updated style for the game, there were many objects in the game that were technically errors so they were replaced with Niko sprites. Is this just a glitch on the mod itself?

It's the Steam release anniversary, so everything is Niko!

Much like April Fools, you can disable it now by changing your PC date to another date.
Will be a toggleable setting in the future
