I have literally tried to play this game about 5 or 6 times now. The first time it crashed after the letter was finished (I think it did this on two separate go arounds), second time I got stuck on a rock I jumped on almost immediately, so starting wasn't that big a deal to restart, the third was an issue with my monitor (disconnected somehow, and wouldn't reconnect no matter what I did so I had to restart my pc - doesn't have anything to do with the game I'm sure, just a testament to my bad luck), and then it crashed shortly after I got to Ravensforgotitsname, I remember it crashed once while it was loading another new game before it got to the letter, and now it just crashed again after I had been playing for quite a bit and collected the first 3 runes and I unlocked the swamp area. I have been SO terrified of it crashing after I had gotten a decent amount of stuff done since there isn't a proper save system, because if happened many time where the screen would freeze for a moment and I became terrified the game would crash and I'd have to start all over again.
I am SO SICK of starting over... This is easily one of the best games in this collection, the story and writing is so interesting, and that letter at the beginning was genuinely touching and beautiful! Plus, the sound, music, and graphics are exceptional, especially by indie game standards - the nature especially.
But I'm honestly getting real sick of starting this over, even if one of those times had nothing to do with the game, even if most of those were practically before the game started, I literally felt sick to my stomach when I saw it crashed the last time. I really like this game and the story, I wish there would be a patch to either add in a proper save mechanic in case the game crashes or to patch the crashing since I've seen other people seem to have any other issues.
