The mouse acceleration is... backwards.
whaat?

when i look slowly, it's too fast, when i try to turn fast, it goes slow as possible. that's backwards. I don't get it.

Q.A. here,

We've sent this feedback on to the developers and will be looking further into it. Have you tried adjusting your sensitivity settings or closing out of background applications?

I haven't, I'm currently trying to figure out how to save, because I played only briefly and it didn't save my game at all. I kind of moved past the mouse issues for now. I'll try it out.

The game save whenever you enter/leave a game and when you collect a sample. Space bar can currently skip scenes if you want to rush back to where you were.

I have changed the sensitivity, and the acceleration is definitely backwards. sensitivity just changes sensitivity.

Yeah I have the same issue

Yeah I have expreinced the same issue. When running through the base I would try to take turns and I would have to shove my mouse as far as possible to turn. Sometimes it is oddly fast but mostly a weird slug. I even turned the senestivey all the way up and nothing changed I think

Hopefully something can be done about it. I love these devs, I'm sure they want to do the best they can to iron out the experience.

Same here, moving the mouse quickly makes it move slower and vice versa. Also is there no way to move faster in the hub?

Q.A. here again,

Your voices are being listened to and we've added it to our priority list for review. Thank you for explaining this to us thoroughly and I'll make sure to reply to this thread if we make any adjustments to it.

Thrillho, there is only the one speed in the hub as the player movement is tied to certain sequences. To balance the base was designed in an accessible pattern so it shouldn't take long to get from one place to the next. Hopefully that helps explain the reasoning.

Thanks again!

Glad to hear you guys are listening. not surprising, but still good to hear!

Are you guys still working on fixing the mouse sensitivity issue? It's been nearly 2 months and no updates or news regarding a patch.
Artman Cometh 1 Jun, 2021 @ 1:01pm
Mouse sensitivity is still on our priority list, but our team is quite small. We are still planning to put out another general patch (hopefully soon), but there are some additional things on our end that need sorting out. Fingers crossed we can get it in there, but sometimes changes cause unforeseen things.

I'll do my best to keep yall posted as further information comes in!

Good news, everyone!

We just put out a patch fixing a bunch of things! We balanced the mouse sensitivity and altered the adjustment slider. Hopefully it's feels better to play than ever before!

We also added full controller/remapping support to the launcher and added an interactive radio to the main room.

Hadalnaut, if it feels better to you, would you mind marking this thread as resolved? It would mean a great deal to us.

Thanks to everyone who helped provide feedback!

The patch made it worse, now mouse sensitivity's extremes are "Slower than a dead snail" and "Slower than a snail that isn't quite dead yet but it isn't in high spirits." I played through the first half of the game fine up through yesterday, but after the patch turning with a mouse isn't working right no matter the sensitivity slider's position.

Can confirm that the mouse movement is pretty bad now on the new patch. Turned up sensitivity and nothing changed.
