Cold Storage glitch. (Spoilers ahead)
There is something wrong with the final segment of The Hunt:

After getting the sixth sample and after an encounter with the beastie, I closed the first door to cold storage before retrieving the seventh sample.
That was a mistake. Now I've soft locked myself in the Sample Room with a monster that can kill regardless how far you are.

Do I need to start from the beginning? If so, that would kinda suck.

Hi Marty,

Is the issue that the cold storage door won't open or that the monster kills you before you're able to get the door open?

I'll look into addressing this scenario but I want to make sure I understand the issue you're encountering. Thanks!

The monster kills before the door has a chance to open.

Q.A. here,

Try hitting space when you trigger the door open/close animation to skip it. It should give you the time you need to escape.

Thank you so much, was playing with my girlfriend watching and she was very disappointed that we got softlocked, however this trick worked a treat! Thank you!

Same thing happened to me but I managed to get through the door animation and slide through by a hair after a little while.

Also - I'm not sure if this is a glitch or an oversight or something, but - if you run away from the creature into another one of the cold storage rooms, (Room A for example) the creature will kill you even if it's not near at all. I believe this happens whenever you cross the whatever axis the creature is, as if the creature itself were a giant death barrier.
I do think this could possibly be due to the fact the creature follows a set path, so running away from it in a direction you're not supposed to might break the sequence. If that's the case, I think I would prefer it if other pathways leading away from the creature's path were blocked to prevent somebody (like myself) doing something unintended by mistake.

I'm glad you were able to escape the creature!

As for the death field, the alternative would require some narrative additions and other less feasibly scripted events. For now it's better it kills the player than breaks the game. It's already implied the monster can move fast at random anyway. Not a bad idea for future consideration though.

Didn't even know about the Space thing, I essentially got lucky by opening the door the second the interaction prompt came up. Didn't even realize it was a glitch.
