Skins upload but don't save for some reason

So, I'm trying to use some skins locally, and they're able to be uploaded, but everytime I go into the game, the skin dissapears, both in the game and back in the menu. Is it a known issue, or easy to resolve

I'm not sure if this was ever looked into, but if you can tell me how you was trying to do your skins locally and such I may beable to help you... else... you might be out of luck as the game developer of this game has passed away as of two days ago.

Wait, hold up, they did? Oh crap, that's a little depressing to hear.

But yeah, don't worry, I managed to figure it out some time ago, so it's good, thanks for looking into helping, though.
