Ammonia Utilization Plants (?)
i've been playing in simulation mode with mostly freshwater tanks and one saltwater tank, and everything has been going well except i'm confused about the ammonia utilization plants meter. it's suddenly at zero in a few of my tanks and my plants are beginning to become stressed. could anyone explain it to me so i can fix it before it becomes a problem?

Ammonia Utilization indicates how much of the required ammonia the plants can currently consume.
If Ammonia Utilization is less than 100%, plants are not getting the ammonia they need. However, plants are able to use nitrate instead, so Ammonia Utilization below 100% may not cause stress if there is enough nitrate available.

thanks for replying! would the solution to this problem be to decrease the ammonia/nitrate filtering media in the filters, to add more waste producing creatures, to just dose with ammonium/nitrate, have less plants, or to do a combination of those? im hesitant to use the dosing pumps because i don't really understand them or the unlisted adverse effects they could lead to and i don't want to mess up anything else. currently all the other levels seem to be doing well so i don't want to add anything that would imbalance the rest. also, does this meter affect saltwater tanks being there's no plants involved? again, thank you for the help in understanding and congratulations on the absolute gem of a game:)
