Quick keys
Can we get quick keys for functions such as 2D view, lights on/off?? Or even a timer for lights switching off for full emersion

Generally, there are plans to support (customizable) shortcuts at some point. Currently, this is not planned though.

Upvote on this, please add a hot-key for the day/night function. Also a timer would be amazing, so I could have my tank go into night mode at 10PM and back to day at say 7AM. This would really help people who just run dedicated tanks.
