My game doesn't even launch, "LowLevelFatalError" crash when trying to launch it.

I didn't have any crashes or performance issues yesterday when I played and recorded.

Google the Error it gives you so it leads you in the right direction.

I haven't gotten a single crash in 4 hours of play

I tried validating game files and it worked

Alright since people just want to beat around the bush and give zero input on this issue, here's what fixed all crashing for me. Verify files, in settings, turn off vsync, limit fps to 165, turn on dlss to auto. You can also up the sharpness for dlss to help with the blur especially on 1080p. This game is doing something wild and locking as much down to limit the game from roasting your gpu has solved all crashing issues. I have yet to get anymore 'lowlevelfatalerrors'.

[Xbox Gamepass] The game is out and this error still occurs. The game crashes for me completely random after just minutes of playing the game. Same UE4 "LowLevelFatalError" and from what I read in other threads, it seems to be mostly an issue for AMD GPU owners(?)

I'm hoping for an AMD driver update but right now the game's unplayable for me.

PC: Ryzen 5800X3D + 6950XT

I have the game locked to 60 fps with VSYNC on. Changing settings and validating the files doesn't help.

I have the same issue with a 3080, so gpu wise, it doesn't seem to be amd specific.
I do have a Ryzen 5600X tho.

I've pre-ordered the game with early access and played for around 20 hours over the weekend.

Sunday (17/09/2023) I had a problem with my M2 SSD and because of that, I had to install another SSD and format the computer.

All the computer parts remained the same and the "new" SSD was already one of the hard drives that had always been installed on the computer, and was only used for downloading and junk files.

After formating and installing everything (motherboard drivers, GPU drivers, etc...), I can no longer open the game.
Every time I try, after testing all the fixes on the internet, I get a "UE4 LiesofP Game (asian writings...): Fatal error!"

I still have no progress... for 2 days

This worked for me -

1 Open your Steam client and navigate to your Library.
2 Locate "Lies of P" in your game list. Right-click on it and select Properties from the dropdown menu.
3 In the properties window, you'll see a field named Launch Options.
4 Type "-DX11" in the launch options field. Ensure that there's a space if you're adding more than one launch option.
5 Click OK to save the changes.
6 Close the properties window and try to launch the game.

This worked for me. Actually, this also works when running it on Linux.

For me the cause was having a VR headset plugged in to my PC. Not even running Steam VR, but just having the option of steam VR was causing this game to crash and be unplayable. Unplugging my VR headset solved it.

Specifically a Valve Index. Idk if it's the case for other headsets

This worked for me. Windows 11, error appeared on the beginning of third game session in the morning.
