man its almost like ive done that, the boss is just trash
Shock abrasive/the shock coil head coupled with rushing him down helps. He has a habit of *really* wanting to shoot you, but if you can hug him between his swings when he hops back he gives you some decent openings to smack him. Try to pen him in near the far end of the arena so he doesn't have as much horizontal room to get away.
The hard part's getting through phase one where he wants to do nothing more than bash your head in with that cinderblock on his arm.
I get through phase 1 just fine. its just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of phase 2 and getting overheated in a fraction of a second
You have to give Fuoco a *wide* berth going into phase 2 to avoid the initial overheat, if you're using a Spectre you can basically kiss it goodbye going into Phase 2 in fact, and then you have to bolt in at him and put the pressure on. His tracking on the actual fireballs is surprisingly godawful if you can get a feel for their travel speed, and if you can get him distracted spurting oil and then luring him into lighting those up with his swipes, it'll get rid of some of the hassle.
Thing hits real hard, but it's also real slow. You may wanna try dodging out of the way more than trying to perfect block everything.
I beat him on my first attempt. When he went to phase 2 I just stayed far away and sprinted so his projectiles didnt hit me. My specter was already dead by then. If i recall correctly, he had one or two moves where he was wide open, like after his unblockable charge (which you can just sprint around) and I ran up and power swung. Then ran away and kept doing that. I also had no more potions by phase 2.
You can beat him.
Reasons he's trash? Or is he just trash because you find him difficult lol.
You obviously didn't learn it, because you struggle with 1 of the easiest boss that the game has to offer
i really hope( i just fight him) that other boss are NOT so trash designed
The area attack is bad gameplay wise
The phantom is brainded IA
There are player that defend even the bed of chaos in DS so
Fix him would have been easy, just an heat up mechanics and a phantom who actually is not idiotic
The boss is not fun to fight and his design enfatize the limit of the game (bad partner IA), too fast area attack that hit always if you are not spacing in the center, infinite fireball spam
It can simply better be designed
