I like the dlc alot so far. But man was that boss terrible. Genuinely a bottom 5 boss out of every souls i've played. Markiona was wayyy better albeit super tanky. Although i will say alot of minibosses in areas are absurdly tanky, for being minibosses. Not sure why we're giving 15k health to some optional enemy that doesnt have a proper health bar
As for the random 15k HP minibosses, part of me thinks other miniboss-type enemies sprinkled throughout the DLC were meant to be things you burn fable and legion meter on, since non-boss enemies are so fragile in the base game (even similar minibosses) that fables tend to be more like delete buttons than actual factors in combat. Some base game encounters are nominally a big deal and then fold after landing a couple of heavy attacks, then pummeling them when they're down...
Though i did learn that attacking its open mouth when it was winding up its grab would stagger it. At least a fully charged shot from cataclysm would stagger it out of a grab.
Cataclysm has enormous stagger especially if it counterhits
It looked kinda unique, able to do it twice in a row. Makes me wonder if it takes extra stagger on all its open mouth attacks.
All in all a fairly forgettable boss. Woulda been a better crocodile boss if it had at least had a kickass soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCVrdE5HbTk
