Just press everything on your keyboard, something will work. Once you get past that screen the game is fine.

Same issue here. Pressing any button on controller doesn't work. I have to use a keyboard to get past the main menu screen.

it doesnt register my controller yet. I end up clicking( prob using keyboard works) then it registers my controller and everything is ok.

Let’s say hypothetically that I’m playing it on a steam deck. Is there any fix then?

For me, with a G Cloud, it's possible to tap the screen to continue. I'd guess it works the same on Deck.

How does something like this get past testing and pushed into main branch? You literally try the game ONCE as a tester and realize this is an issue.

I use the Dual Sense wireless. If you tap the touchpad once, the menu is activated. LoP isn't the only game that reacts this way. Some games with Unreal Engine have this "problem." So, connect a keyboard/mouse or connect the Dual Sense directly. Those are the better controllers in the long run anyway. Durable...

Restart your game. Or try unplugging your controller and plugging it back in

I have the same issue since I've installed the DLC, just click your mouse and then you can use your keyboard or controller.
