Yes they altered last difficulty and it lied is same difficulty was before
And on easy is walk in the park ,, i hope youtubers and pro players drop the game from Ranks on Soulslike games ,, they got alot of popularity and now they backstab all souls fans
LOP is something between souls and regular action rpg games, i think it should have been standard action rpg from the start, lop devs were too soft to make a actual souls game
I want you to read this again without wincing in embarrassment at your own concluding statement.
How about you take your own advice and adapt to the game? So far I read your post and I have been baffled by the sheer amount of contradictions in it.
You write this as if you were complaining about how hard the DLC was to you. Doesn't sound like it was some trivial stuff, right? It almost sounds like you were playing through the DLC when NG+ scaling for it was absolutely bonkers.
Like how Sir_Sam_Vimes said, you are simultaneously claiming that the game has artificially inflated difficulty AND it caters to souls-like "tourists" by lowering the challenge through introducing difficulty options (I assume).
Is it too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and unfair? Is it too laughingly easy?
So far, you're making the case for why the game is challenging for someone of your caliber.
To me, it sounds like you need more practice with deflect timings and learning movesets.
This game isn't Dark Souls.
This game isn't Elden Ring.
This game isn't even Lord of the Fallen.
It's the Lies of P. Yes, it might have borrowed aspects from Dark Souls, but it is its own game. And it should be looked at as its own game.
You're sitting here throwing out what is and isn't a souls-like game. Okay, so it isn't a souls-like game in your eyes. Who cares? No, seriously, who cares? Why does that matter? Why does every game that incorporates hard difficulty and progress recovery have to follow YOUR rules? Rules that you seemed to have just made up, by the way. In reality, they're just your preferences and why should anyone have to listen to you? Because you have a name of **checks notes** "Lord of Souls Games." Uh-huh. Lord, according to who? Your own pamphlet?
Especially when you spout authoritative non-sense like:
"If you want to truly understand what makes a soulslike tick, accept this truth: the game doesn’t adapt to you — you adapt to the game. And in doing so, you don’t just play… you master chaos."
You do realize you just said absolutely nothing meaningful, right here, right? Because all games, whether they are a cakewalk or punishingly hard, you have to adapt to. You have to learn the controls, the characters, and the rules.
Don't worry the game is a flop and DLC proove it that ,, Good luck on Playing Lies of P .. with extra 1000 modes . very easy of the where you don't touch the mob and die
I'm gatekeeper you have problems with that ,, talk with my hand
If we don't boycot . or you think we are all playing 1 playthrough like you??? we keep this game alive for years ,, you don't have idea what souls did for entire gaming industry and you talk .. research more and than we talk after , untill than
I give you an hint ,, from 2009 Fromsoft revolution the gaming industry in matter of mechanics and combat , ,if they didnt exist ,, you never had that combat in Assasin's Creed you have today and it still bad ,, but was more bad before Fromsoft Show the industry how you build a game [ It Called Demon Souls ]
Maybe this video will make a light in your life

Again, we go back to my original question: who cares?
What exactly are you complaining about? It has a difficulty setting now? I'll admit, I was a little disappointed seeing that myself as well, but it's also understand why:
Because there always has been an "easy mode" in souls-born games, they were just never always upfront about it.
The truth is you gatekeepers have tried to dictate the "correct" way to beat a souls-like game since they were invented. People have been belittled online for using Spirit Ash summons in Elden Ring, even though that mechanic existed since the original Dark Souls. And it's an excellent way for people to adapt to the difficult game play, especially in Elden Ring's punishing DLC.
The developers to Lies of P just decided to be blatant about their easy mode, since you all just going to complain and belittle other players anyway.
It sounds to me that you want "Lies of P" to be a souls-like game, but not just any souls-like game, one that follows your outlined philosophy and preferences. Even though have no basis in stating that your ideas are "correct."
I think the fact the game was an overwhelming success both with players and reviewers speaks louder than any of your complaints and more than proves that the developers right in their approach.
Besides that, no matter how good it's concept, games need to evolve. They have to do different things. Even FromSoft tweeks and changes their original revolutionary formula from game to game. And developers outside of FromSoft, also benefit in the long run, by making their game different. All of these differential features are gimmicky and suffer under the game's various flaws, like with Lords of the Fallen, others pull it off.
If you don't like the difficulty options — just pick 'hardcore'. Sure, casuals play on easy, but why does that even bother you?
Also, Armored Core better.
