Don't get hit.

Camera is the biggest boss in the dlc.

Ignore the puppet and just watch out for the string getting red. if its red, it attacks. The thing can be off-screen and if you see the red wire light up just get ready to dodge/parry.

Its actually a pretty creative boss, arguably the most creative one in the DLC.

You are supposed to learn the attacks and block/dodge the damage...

But saying that she talks too much and it's a bad boss because of that, I have never heard this kind of excuse before.

This was in response to people saying the NAmeless puppet fight should have gone this way somewhat. They wanted Geppetto on the field.

I do not like Markiona because it is a fight that you need to do in one specific way to make it bearable--ignore the puppet, focus on her and burn her down as fast as possible. Both the boss and the puppet move around the arena like crazy and camera has hard time following them. You need to be very careful not to get stuck near wall in certain moments or the camera will go absolutely crazy.
The combat itself is fine outside few combos that can be unfair as both enemies can hit you at almost the same time. Markiona has a tendency to attack you from behind, which is another reason to just ignore the puppet and focus on her and her only.
Look at the colour of her wire. When it's blue, Markiona attacks. When it's red, her puppet is active. This makes it a lot easier to prevent situations such as what you were describing.

And I disagree that there is one path to victory. First time I beat her, I smashed her puppet first, which stunned her for a very long time, allowing me to do the damage needed to win through fable art spamming. And if you divide your attention evenly between the puppet and her, I suppose you could pretty much skip her 2nd golden blast phase by getting her to about 50%, killing her puppet and then bursting her for the last 50%.

Kind of? The one specific way your 'supposed' to do it is to cleave the puppet and focus on it just before she phases- it forces her to skip the phase and you don't have to deal with the super charged puppet. During its revival period, she's basically free to slap on until it's back up.

I didn't liked her either. At first I focused on the pupped thinking it will be easier to find against just one enemy but I didn't know the puppet is immortal. So on my second try I focused solely on her and Ive beat her rather easy.
Camera boss is the worst boss in this game.

The most annoying boss for me was the Anguished M*therf*cker of the Deeps (or whatever). His hp pool is way too high (imo).

And then there's that Arlecchino's combo that lasts forever.

Markiona? She was cool in design, original in the "fighting style", and hard enough to make you cry the first times you fight her. I liked her. But you know... opinions.

Cheers!
I actually liked her, Both blocking and dodging is viable for most of the fight, she gives you plenty of huge openings to heal, buff or repair, the hitboxes are good and the telegraphing is intuitive and not massively delayed, which I can't say for the previous boss and the next one after. Puppet is easy to dodge and the puppeteer herself is easy to parry, which can be taken great advantage off after disabling her puppet, resulting in quick staggers. The few moments the camera had trouble keeping track of the puppet, just holding block works, its attacks don't drain all that much stamina when blocked. But I can see that being an issue with weapons that have bad guard stats I suppose.

A tough gimmick boss that's hard to adjust to, for some people more than for others, but very fair.

Veronique however can eat a urinal cake flavored triple scoop ice cream for all I care.

Anguished Guardian's HP bar is so high because if you engage with his gimmick (destroy the growths), he takes a phenomenal amount of increased damage to his exposed weakpoints and his special fatal attack does several thousand.
