I personally went most of the game with the booster glaive handle and wintry rapier blade combo, its "weaker" due to stab weapon on a slash handle. but its so fast that the range and combos worked well. so i dumped upgrade materials into that and it did wonders for me until I found a seperate spear setup I liked a lot.
And yeah, Rapier Blade + Booster Glaive almost makes you feel like you're playing a different game.
Okay, off topic, but I wanted to mention it.
Lol, that is 100% on-topic. Pistol Rock Drill is a Stab hilt, so Rapier's Blade is compatible with it (along with Tyrant Murderer, which has the same crit fable as Pistol). Probably not that great of an idea since you lose so much guard ratio, but the non-charge attacks become a lot easier to use.
Ngl, I abused the heck out of Pipe Wrench for a few dungeons the first time I played this game, spamming Payback with Conquering Amulet (eventually replacing with Frozen Feast). I still favor Rapier as an easy-mode option just because it's way too safe for the way Lies of P plays, and the DPS evens out since you don't need to wait for opportunities to attack.
