The scythes description says it was used by a killer that stalked the rich of Krat, it was said he had a clockwork heart. That sounds like Arlecchino to me, and not a bit of Romeo.
It was most likely what he used before Lea took him apart.
Fun fact, the broken blade at the zoo was Romeos blade, likely the spot he got grabbed, you can compare it to the model in the gallery.
