Nameless Puppet and Overture
K, any strats for the nameless puppet? I feel like this is the worst designed boss I've ever had the misfortune of fighting. Another instance where the devs were just bad at what they're passionate about. No where near the quality of souls games bosses, honestly just a trash boss. Secondly, is the overture good or is there more of this bs? if it's anything like the last two bosses (Simon pre-nerf and the NP) then I am not going to buy it. Please be honest and let me know. Thanks team! :)

Electric blits as puppets are weak to it, and wear the anti slash liner. Nemeless is one of the best bosses of any souls likes, as he is a mastery check of the games mechanics.

They added two easy modes, it'd be a shame to not use them when you're in the target audience for them.

If Nameless feels like a badly-designed boss, that means you somehow got to the end of the game without learning how to play. My "strats":
- First phase literally only uses normal weapon attacks like you. If you have reasonable reflexes, only his sword mode (as opposed to greatsword) should be a threat. You should parry this. You should understand how to parry well by this point in the game, but either way, first phase should become a cakewalk after enough tries.

- Second phase has a lot of combos that are smart to hold block during (hold the button down, unpress and press again when you want to parry, this way you're still guarding even if you mistime the parry). For the rest—basically all of the attacks where he pauses before executing them—you're going to have to learn the timing and parry it. If you parry them successfully, he will stun himself and give you a few seconds to hit him, making the fight much easier.

Anyway, if by "this bs", you mean having to memorize a boss's attacks, then yeah, there's more of it in the DLC. How did you beat Laxasia???

It's okay to play on easy if you can't git gud :)
I won't lie to you when I say that if you think Nameless Puppet is the worst designed boss, then you would find Overture to be even worse.

Personally I think Nameless Puppet is one of the most fair yet challenging boss fights in Lies of P. There is a rhythm that you can get the hang of, at least in phase 1. Phase 2 is a bit more hectic and fast but still has a manageable rhythm.

I strongly recommend taking Netsa's tips for the boss fight. Otherwise keep practicing and you'll beat him eventually.
If you get to phase 2 and low health its not wrong to spam throwables. Electric throwables can win the day and when he's about to go haywire on you when he is low health and walks towards you like the terminator he does NOT dodge throwing items for some reason. You can pelt him with an entire belt's worth to finish him before he goes nuts. Otherwise its mostly blocking and poking to restore health, then Running to the left and dodging when he does his red attack. It takes awhile but patience and blocking is key.

Took me many tries to beat him. Do not fully deplete your stamina, use electric weapon, and dodge towards the attack.
I think this is one of the best designed bosses in any soulslike lol. In General I think Lies has really good bosses and some are even better than the one I had to face in the souls games.

That being said, if you play this like its dark souls you did not understand how this game works...

Thanks Fox, I ended up doing just this and I was able to use throwables to end his second phase. A lot of the comments were not that helpful, just judgmental so I appreciate the help frs. I think the story of the game and the graphics are incredible, I do think the boss and combat design need some slight improvements though.

Why comment if you're just gonna be negative? you were the target audience for plan B
