"Better Hardware, Worse Stuttering – Lies of P Performance After CPU Upgrade"
After upgrading my CPU from an Intel i5-11400F to a Ryzen 5 7600X, I expected smoother gameplay and more consistent performance in Lies of P. Surprisingly, the opposite happened. While my GPU (RTX 5070) is barely utilized (i use dlss Q) and comfortably handles the game at a locked 144 FPS, I started experiencing stutters—especially when rotating the camera—and random FPS drops that weren't present before.

This is quite frustrating, considering the Ryzen 7600X is a significantly more powerful processor. Yet, the game runs less smoothly than it did on my older Intel setup. It seems like there's a lack of proper CPU-GPU coordination, or perhaps a bottleneck in how the game engine handles threads or background streaming.

What’s more puzzling is that GPU usage remains low, meaning the RTX 5070 isn’t the limiting factor. The issue seems entirely on the CPU or game optimization side. Whether it’s Unreal Engine’s shader compilation quirks, poor multi-threading support, or some compatibility problem with AMD CPUs, the experience isn’t what it should be on such capable hardware.

Idk, yesterday it occur, today I played for short period of time, not happen at all
Your 5070 may not have strength issues but recent RTX 4 and 5 cards have reportedly issues in their drivers since some monthes. Could be because of that

But yes your CPU seems to be quite medium range and probably then will limit a lot your almost highest-tier GPU card. Hopefully your alim however followed the GPU and CPU upgrade or you're underpowering them and that however not only limits but also hurts all your components slowly

I can't speak for very recent AMD CPUs even tho I don't see why it would change much since both of ours seem to be in the same range but my Ryzen 7 2700X had absolutely no issue with the game (with a 1660 SUPER). I ran at almost everything medium for stable capped 60fps (the fps I have to cap on pretty much every games now so nothing anormal)
The splash screen of the game displays AMD and the game released at a time multi-threading CPUs were already the leaders since quite a time so it would be suprising it has poor support of it and of AMD CPUs specifically

I think i will stick with it untill 2027 Rtx 60's will upcome. I think i will replace the 5070 with r5 7600x for something stornger. But i played almost 130hr with weaker cpu, and that was not the problem. I mean there are some demanding areas like zoo in dlc, or some bul*s*it bosses with millions of effects (i talking about manus, imo the worst boss in game). But losing fps while turning camera that's new. Idk maybe it is one of the problems, that magicly occur and dissapear on it own.

Welcome to world where everything is made for Nvidia and Intel.

I had similar situation few years ago, going from intel CPU to AMD, and literally everything runs worse.
After going through few forum threads, every single time its "oh you have amd".

i literally just bought the game, I'm glad I stopped by here before I lost my chance to refund it. Lemme see what happens on my end first of course...or is it that inevitable stutter that no one can escape no matter what they run?
those are problems which you never consider before buying an mounting stuff

The weird part, i had no issues (a part of bootleneck cpu to gpu), when I was playing on older and weaker cpu. But the game is really great, so I think if you are able to spend some time to make sure it is not a case with your pc, do not refound it before. Tbh I still think that the game is optimized strongly good.
