Anyone else getting stuck blocking sometimes?
I’m trying to git gud at perfect guarding, but sometimes after hitting block, P stays in the blocking position even though I released the button. This makes it hard to deflect successive attacks from faster enemies.

Is this happening for anyone else? Not sure if its an animation bug, if I’m getting stuck on the enemy itself, or I’m supposed to be doing something else (tapping or holding block, moving P, etc).

Playing on PC via Steam.

Referring to what you think is a animation bug is this after Perfect blocking or regular blocking? because regular blocking does indeed have a longer animation lockout.

if you mean blockstun, that’s normal; since you’re treated as blocking, you can safely release the input and go for successive parries (including failed inputs still decaying the window, beware!)

As Nerevarine wrote, blockstun is almost always longer on standard block. Some attacks are too slow even on parry and should be dodged or positioned around instead
Like you land a parry, then P stays blocking for a bit longer? Thats intended. If another attack came in that window, one input can perfect guard more than one attacks. Its an extension of perfect block frames. If another attack comes and that short window wont cover it, just press it again and he will attempt another perfect guard.

If an enemy does an almost constant barrage of attacks, and you perfect guard all of it, P will look like he just kept blocking.

If he isnt blocking anything, and he doesnt leave the block on button release... well, I guess thats some controller or keyboard issue.
