Free from the Puppet String ending

What is the necessary requirement? Just don't free Sophia or does the level of humanity really matter?

You need to have some humanity or you won't get the choice to reject Geppetto, and you have to reject him to get this ending. So at least a moderate amount of Humanity, and don't free Sophia. The amount of Humanity doesn't really matter after "You feel warmth."

Well, this is the only ending I have left, but I saw somewhere that I can't reach the level of "Your Heart is Pounding" even if I decide not to give Sophia peace.
