I personally found it substantially easier even on Legendary Stalker due to NG+ quartz upgrades. You could try dropping the difficulty, removing quartz, and using a weapon with lower enhancement to try to balance it out, but it won’t be like the vanilla experience.

Most of the major fights can be redone in Battle Memories later, and Lv5 is scaled to be more challenging than usual even for level capped files.
