and you can just refight him right afterward!!
I agree about Lea making Arlecchino a weak fight. There are a few bosses in Lies of P that are arguably harder with a specter because of how it changes boss AI. Arlecchino isn't that.
And in games like Elden Ring, many bosses fluidly switch between targets mid-combo... They're still easier with other players due to the nature of split aggro, but you don't get nearly as many 100% safe damage windows as you'd expect.
For Arlecchino, the only attack of his that comes close to that is his super attack (which I use a Perfect Grindstone for, anyway). At every other point it's safe to attack into his back. Bosses like Black Rabbit Brotherhood or King of Puppets have sweeps and behind-the-back weapon swings which seem specifically designed to catch players fighting from the back with specter at front. I feel like there's a middle-ground where they could have made him a little easier alone but act more erratically with Lea.
Oh, and another thing: Arlecchino doesn't fight as much like a madman or an artist as I expected. Something about the fight doesn't feel 'fancy' enough. And his mid-fight transformation is very silly.
i think him not being erratic with Lea on the field is a good thing as far as a story-centric fight goes, but he is pretty easy to anklebite to death because of how powerful Lea is; unlike specters she actually does big damage and can be picked up even if she goes down again. There's definitely room for there to have been more focus on just staying alive with her only occasionally taking aggro. Would play more to what it sounds like you're interested in!
If they do something like this in the next game I think it'll be even cooler
