Auric Inexactitude inquiry
Something is bothering me, albeit minutely so.

The special auric olfactory weapon you can get near the very end of the game, sometimes after the main game, if you engage in a veritable plethora of various Inexactitudes and record enjoyment...you know of what I speak.

Besides it being really cool and fun to play around with and stuff like that, what is the actual point of getting it so damn late and to not have it fully at the beginning of a ng+ cycle?

I understand that the length and gilded girth of this particular secret weapon is tied to the game mechanic of telling lies, but you truly only get it at the total end of the game, so at most, you will be able to perhaps beat a certain puppet who shall remain nameless into a second death with it, and that's about it.

So, even if the weapon physically carries over, it has lost all its luster, gleam and cocky sureness.

So we will never be able to fully use it until the very late, absolute end stage of the game anyway, I find this odd.

Just let us keep the complete weapon after we have worked hard to obtain it, after we have lied through our porcelain teeth throughout the entire game and even remembered to pick it up.

TL;DR : For people who like to use the Golden Lie weapon, and who are self-appointedly proficient at it, is it worth using at all in a ng+ cycle, considering the weapon fully detracts, retracts and becomes essentially a lesser version of the one we obtained at the end?

Or does it have a value, despite starting at zero again?

It just seems so strange to me to have this cool weapon, that is not actually supremely better than a lot of other weapons, it's just another weapon, and to have it revert to a lesser state almost immediately.

Only thing I can see that is positive is with the new boss rush mode, that you can practice with all the weapons as you will, against all the bosses of the game, so in this way, you absolutely can use the Golden Lie without restraint and beat them all.

If you beat the main campaign before starting the DLC, it can be fairly valuable for that. And, as you said, the boss rush mode.

Oh, right, the DLC, of course. You're right, there is that.
