News Tower - Report a bug or an issue
If you encounter any bug or issue while playing News Tower Early Access, you can report it to the team.
Before reporting your issue you can verify the integrity of your game file.

To do so:
  • From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties
  • Select the Local Files tab and click Verify integrity of game files
  • Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes
If you've verified your game files and still encounter the bug, please open a ticket through Twin Sails Support[asmodee.helpshift.com]

Alternatively, you can report the bug via our Discord Server [discord.gg].

Please include the following information in your report:
  • Your machine specifications
  • Your game version
  • When and how it happened
  • Screenshots of your issue
  • Your game save & Logs, you can found them here: C:\Users\USER\AppData\LocalLow\Sparrow Night\News Tower
  • As much in-game information as possible and anything else you can think of
Please be as detailed as possible in your ticket. The more information you provide, the easier it'll be for the team to figure out the problem and fix it.

Note: if you'd like to see content or a feature added to the game, we'd still love to hear from you!

Reporters go straight to the same typescripter

When you pick up person if you pres esc. or click on other icons from the same person while accidentally holding person,it breaks game... you cannot release person, you cannot save game, you cannot exit (only alt +f4), only the pickup icon works around the map (for 10-15 seconds, than freezes in place) and pause/play on keyboard.
Any other thing dont respond.

Saves don't seem to be working right, really pissed me off after spending several hours redoing things after the demo. Makes me not want to play it if I have to start over every time. Fix the saves. It kept saying "Item placed was invalid object"

Load Error: One or more build objects were invalid!
Loads to 75% and then shows this error in red.
Version 0.11.49.r

ETA: Tried to make a support ticket and the files would not send.

Protesters were removed, the tag is no longer showing and they are all gone. The protester sound effect is still audible and my reporters/other workers will not come inside, security returned to posts.
I went back to a previous save state, tried again, same result.

The majority of staff lost their names and became 'Untitled' after reloading a save.

I cannot select anything. The cursor is flashing as if it's constantly deselecting anything I click on. I can't even quit the game because of this issue.

My workers are now named "untitled", only the new one I employed has a name.

I have this same issue. Entrance is permanently blocked. I'm not 100% sure but I think it may be caused by multiple different protests happening simultaneously.

Just wanted to let you know that I reported the news of the dead of the Lindenbergh baby, the day before I reported his kidnapping. Small enough detail, but because you guys seem to value some real-world aspects, thought I would mention it.

A few times I've started the game and used the "Continue" button to start up a game, and it brings up a "run load error."

I had a Reporter who randomly stopped working, he's still there and can't be fired, but he doesn't show up in the story-assignenment screen and after I unassigned his desk he can't be assigned to a new one. At that point he was at 100% concentration as well, so can't be that.

Same issue here, seems to be a game killer unfortunately

Thats a likely the pretty rare bug that can trigger with a last minute reporter swap in the report menu. This is fixed in next weeks update.

This bug can be triggered when you manually moved a security employee while escorting a protester away. This bug is fixed. DOn't know if you did that but it caused this bug.`
