Another game using sprites from this game

Anyone seen that game "Mystical Tactics?" I noticed it during Steam's recent turn-based festival showcase. Seems to be made by another developer, but I instantly noticed it is using sprites from this game. Just wondered if anyone knows what's up, if they have permission to do that?

I read somewhere the sprites where free to use and even this developer got them from the same source.
